Hi is your pit bull or any breed you may have scared of thunderstorms?

If so what do you do to keep them calm?

In the event of a tornado what do you do with your dogs?



My two dogs are terrified of thunderstorms ofcourse it doesn't help that I am the most terrifed of all of us. I have witnessed one too many tornadoes in my time. I actually stood on the porch as a teen and took photos of a tornado that wiped out half the structures and neighborhoods in my town. That really bothered me, infact to this day I regret taking those pictures. I guess because people died. So I am terrified of thunderstorms. We are predicted to have some pretty bad ones today and I am looking at tips to help keep my pets calm and see what others do.

Also my sister lives in a second floor apartment with her dog and I am worried about how safe she really is. What is he safest place for her in her apartment. She has a middle apartment so her closest backs up to the apartment beside her closet. And next to that is her bathroom. What would be the safest place to be in the event of a tornado? Anyone know? Figured there might be some apartment people on here. She doesn't worry about storms though like I do.
