Default Where you buy your pet food.
Is anyone on a first name basis with the people they buy their dog food from? I loveloveLOVE my "dog food guy". I call him Duddly, he calls me 'Darling' He is a super nice ol' guy.

Last week when I went in, he was out of the kind of kibble I wanted. So, he gave me a free bag of Nutro Natural Choice...granted, not the best food, but since it was for the 'non allergy' dogs, it was decent enough for a temporary thing. Really awesome, if you ask me

Tractor Supply and I try to get in and out as fast as I can... It's not in the friendliest of neighborhoods.

I get mine from a feed store. Its about the only place in Gallup that sells decent food. I'm totally psyched, because he started ordering the TOTW dog kibble, and now he is getting the cat kibble in TOTW too!

Me and the owner of my local pet store (Dennis) are definitely on a first name basis. We always talk nutrition and dogs.

Yesterday I got a free collar for Lucy from him.

I love that store. They know their pet food better than most vets I've seen. And they only have the good dog food, no crap full of fillers. You can tell them about what's wrong with your dog (for Ethel, it's ear infections), and they'll show you the best foods to fix your health issue, and tell you why and how it works.

They also make special raw diets for individual dogs.

I love that place.

Not to mention that they have adoption events for rescues, nail trims and wellness clinics. They have some homeopathic doctor guy come in and give seminars. And the place is filled with old, lazy store cats. And if I'm in there buying things a day or two before a sale, I get the discount anyway.

Ain't you a lucky duck Libby.
When I was using Nutro for Liberty, the 'nutro lady' (the store rep) was always there and would give me a coupon every time I was there, be it for food or treats. Either way she probably saved me a couple hundred dollars over the last 8 years.
Now that I switched them both to TOTW I go to Pet-Valu, but I haven't been buying long enough to get any deals from them, yet.

I lucked out on my store. It's also the only one in town, and I refuse to include the "pet store" that breeds and sells overpriced designer dogs.

Yes with both of them. Neither sells any animals and both feature adoption events. The owners of the one store are big in to rescued greyhounds and always have 3 or 4 around including their own rescues. I adore them

yep I sure can, I e-mailed the store before I started shopping there and asked if I could bring him in and they said they were super pet friendly, they have a store cat for mice and such, I would e-mail and see if your store allows big dogs, they should, I even told them the breed and they were very nice and happy to have him, I am one of the rare few to bring a dog in the store.

I think I know entirely too many people at the specialty pet food stores - its like some wierd obsession I have learning about kibbles.... especially considering I do not feed kibble anymore.

My feed store guy is Matt, at All American Feed - I absolutely thank him for opening my eyes to pet food labels when I came in looking for something equal to Eukanuba for my cat years ago.

Depends on where I am when I remember. Sometimes the local pet store, reptile pet store, or pet food outlet.

There's also another place in town called "the dog gone bakery" and they've got some good stuff.
