Default Nervous Terrier = Flatulance?
It seems the more nervous my Terrier mix gets the more she passes gas. Is this common with dogs/Terriers? I've noticed in the past she has gotten nervous and started passing gas. The weather has her very upset. My other dog he just paces, but my goodness my Terrier. From the smell she is letting off i don't think she has ever been so nervous in her life.

Does anyone elses dog do this? Should I maybe secure her in a room with tile incase she decides to do more than pass gas? She was just outside but still. She hasn't had an accident in the house since she was 9 or 10 months old, lets hope today isn't the day

tornados and flooding yesterday, lightening storms last night, flooding today. Pups are probably going to have to start going out on the patio to potty on potty pads, not safe for them to be out in the grass anymore downstairs. This morning the mayor declared it a disaster area or something like that

This is whats going on throughout our state: most of the stories come out of the state capitol because that is the area that was hit the hardest. This is why she is so nervous

Lucy farts constantly at the vet. Especially once she goes up on the dreaded table.

Sug has what we call the emo-poops. If she's really really excited, worked-up, happy, or upset then she has to poop. Depending on how worked up she is determines if she will have the runs or solids.

It's gotten better as she's settled in with us, but if we take her to an event or something that is REALLY exciting, she'll get them again.

I've seen dogs that, when they get anxious, passes gas or defecates from shear anxiety. I don't know if it's a bully thing or not (though bullies tend to be more gassy, in general, IMO.)

Zoey must be scared every time she hops on or off of the couch!

Seriously though, she is a big chicken and she doesn't usually fart, but she did express her anal glands once at the vet when I tried to put her on the scale. We now weigh her at home before we go because she doesn't like it!
