Default Companies that support the H$U$
If anyone knows of anymore please add them to the list, I suggest anyone who cares about their dogs stop supporting these companies, although i understand microsoft might be difficult lol

Why all the negative impressions of the HS??? Are they super-duper-bunny-hugging anti-hunters or something?

The HS here spays/neuters bullys cheap, adopts out plenty of animals, and just the other day I read a story in the paper about a program they have to take some of the hard to adopt dogs (like untrained bullys) to the prison for the inmates to train, then they adopt them out. I haven't heard any negative storys. Can somebody fill me in?

Remember not to confuse the Local Humane Societies with the HSUS are not the not the same entity.

The HSUS does try to force some legislation that hurts hunters, farmers, and dog owners. They don't help the smaller Humane Societies, but try to get credit for it.

Used to be able to check this list, but as you can see the HSUS did away with that

http://www.humanesociety.org/about/o...upporters.html

I doubt you will find a much better research tool for all things HSUS than HumaneWatch...they are doing an outstanding job.

Yes also less than 1% of the money raised actually goes to animals. Funny considering those commercials that are on. The humane society of the united states is a political lobbying group.

The problem is the general public and people like gracie's confuse it with the local HS.

Education is the key. Humane Watch is a great site.

Donate to your local shelter!

Petfinder supports HSUS.

guess everyone looking for a puppy or listing dogs/puppies up for adoption should stay away from that site.

From their website
Our Corporate Supporters
Featured Corporate Supporters
Spammers appear to have set their sights on some of our corporate supporters. We don't want to encourage this mischief, so for the time being the spammers can go elsewhere. I am glad I do not support any of the companies listed on humanewatch.org.
Microsoft - easy not to support, I've been using open source software for more than 5 years.

Many Local HS do not know about the HSUS policies. It is a shame. I will not donate money but I will food, blankets, toys and time.
