Default He's here!
We finally got our new pup last Saturday. My husband was already home when I got back from grocery shopping with the pup laying on the couch next to him as quiet as can be. He is reddish-tan in color with a white blaze, muzzle and patch on his neck. He spent his first night ( and every night since) sleeping between me and my husband. I didn't get much sleep as I had only a small amount of space to sleep on. Last night I finally relegated him to the foot of the bed where he stayed surprisingly enough. He doesn't bother the cats much, in fact he's finally getting over his intense fear of them. The only one of my cats which doesn't seem to like him much is Loki. Morgana could care less and Fimmion isn't sure what to make of him (friend or foe?). We're still working on house breaking but he's getting much better. The only thing that bothers me is his separation anxiety. He has a strong need to constantly be near any available human. He follows us around constantly and can't even seem to bear being alone in a room for more than a few minutes. Also, he snores loud enough to wake the dead (which is what he's doing now) Oops, Elvis just woke up and told him to pipe down. LOL!!!

Yep. It should be written into the rules somewhere that any thread relating to "I got a new dog" be required to include pictures, otherwise the thread is useless!

Congratulations!

seriously, I know you are new ( so am I) but you should know you can't be doing this. This should be ban-hammer worthy.

Pictures please!!

Congratulations on the new addition.... oh, and my two follow me pretty much everywhere I go, unless it's bedtime, then Mollie goes on to bed and doesn't wait for me to go to bed. I think they follow me around so much, hoping I might forget that I just gave them a cookie, and give them another one.

You'll get used to the snoring... eventually. Of course, then the gas thing over rides any amount of snoring. My two take up the entire king size bed, and the covers, and the pillow... so good luck with that.

Take him out every 30 minutes to an hour, and walk around. Don't stand still or he will come sit at your feet. That will help with the potty training. Of course, you have to praise them like they just discovered gold... so hope you have a private backyard, or else your neighbors will think you're nuts.

Can't wait to see pictures too!
