Default Kind of a weird situation
Im pretty good about avoiding people and other dogs when i need to. I know alot of people think my dog looks scary so i respect that and steer clear. Alot of people ask to pet him though so it goes both ways.

Well, i live in an apartment where my building is one of 3 seperate buildings in a triangle layout. In the middle is a big courtyard where kids play football every day and 2 of my neighbors let their dogs run off leash. One is a papion and the other looks like a midget golden lab. I see them out there every day from my window, both dogs and kids running around havin a ball. Well, they know my dog doesnt care for other dogs but they dont seem to care that my dog tries to kill their dog every time i bring him out. My dog is always on leash, always. But when i come home from work i need to take him out so i do. We step out and quickly walk the opposite way. The little dogs feel the need to come "play" with my dog. My dog turns around and nearly eats them right then and there, every............. single....... day. Then owners call and yell at their dogs to come back, then say sorry to me, every......single.....day. Every freakin day i tell them its ok, its your dog thats about to die. I must sound like a broken record. Well, its getting worse. My dog is getting really pissed off now. He damn near goes through the window trying to get to these dogs when they are outside. Iv completely avoided going out there when they are out now because i feel bad for ruining a good playtime with the friendly dogs and kids, and i sure dont want them to get hurt. I feel like im the only one that cares about their dogs. But its gotten to the point that i actually dont care about them and actually hate them now. Iv told them many times that my dogs will bite their dog. Iv reported them to the office a few times and nothing has happened that i know of. What can i do? What should i do? Im being responsible and takin care of my part.

On the plus side, two of my other neighbors have pit bulls and they love my dog but know to keep theirs away from mine. And all the kids playin football every day love my dog, they could care less about the others. They always come knockin on my door asking if i can bring trouble out to play.

Contact your local animal control facility. Have them enforce the leash law if there is one in place for your county. Become familiar with local laws, ordinances, and how much liability you will have if your dog bites the neighbors. I would also have a SEPERATE sit down talk with the people who have loose dogs, with no animals around and explain the situation. Send a certified letter to to them addressing your concerns if they are unwilling to talk.

If this is not resolved, eventually your dog will bite one of theirs and the outcome will probably not be good. Resolve it now.
