Default Once again irresponsible owners make the rest of us look bad
I just saw a facebook status update from my sister in-laws best friend, witnessed my cousin's dog getting shot today. So, I just had to ask what happened, and of course what kind of dog was it.

She was visiting her cousin and grandma in Detroit, and their pit-chihuahua mix bolted out the door, and bit 2 people (second time this dog has bit somebody apparently, this is also a dog with no training, boundaries, outlet for energy or socialization).

So she spent 2 hours running around with AC and the cops trying to catch the dog. Finally a cop shot him in the ear, and the dog came running to the girl, then the cops sent her inside so they could shoot him cause by then the dog had also bit one of the cops.

I doubt it will make the news though, since they just told AC and the cops it was a chihuahua mix (even though I doubt it matters to them, it's such an everyday occurrence to Detroit AC).

I told her next time they should just get a nice cat, and avoid dogs at all costs. The whole family is retarded when it comes to dogs, with that chick being the exception.

Maybe they should start out with a pet rock or something. Some people should not own animals at all. They need limits and boundries and training.

Tell me about it.

This is also a family who won't spay or neuter their cats, but will flush the kittens down the toilet at birth. (I always wondered why my bf was a little off, then I found out these people were his baby sitters when he was little).

The girl also had an amazing pit/hound mix. Great dog. He'd had virtually no training when I met him (when the girl got him, he came down with parvo, and she spent the second 3 months of his life nursing him back to health), but was potty trained, didn't jump, minded his own business, and was great with everyone and everything. Just a big lover. Her boyfriend broke up with her, so she and the dog had to move in with her parents. They went NUTS when they found out he had pit in him. "He's going to kill us in our sleep, get loose and kill kids, then go sacrifice goats to Satan" kind of people.

Me and my bf were going to take him but she wanted a few days alone with him before he came to live with us. So she took him home. The next day at 8 am we got a call from her, she was freaking out. She went to sleep with the dog in her room, woke up and he was gone. Her parents went into her room at 5 am, took the dog and dropped him off on a porch in some ghetto in Flint. They wouldn't tell us where they took him. They even took off the collar I put on him with my info, and threw it away. They didn't even have the decency to drop him off at a shelter.

Karma got them back though, since the mother of the girl died of cancer about a week later.

Yeah, I'm terrible, but I know if I'd been in remission from cancer, I wouldn't be stealing my daughter's dog in the wee hours of the morning. I'd be trying to get as many brownie points as possible with the big man upstairs, and making sure none of my children resented me before I died.

Wow. I have no words for that story. Drowning kittens, stealing dogs...... I thank my lucky stars every day that my mom isn't crazy like the stories I hear on here.

Hey, pet rocks have feelings too, and can be abused and used for inhumane things... like throwing at people who cannot responsibly own a living, breathing thing.
Maybe a cute PICTURE of a dog or cat? A stuffed animal MAYBE...

This makes me want to hurt them physically... very, very badly. That is SICK!
