So I took MJ for a walk around the park to get her out and away from our typical route, and I was stopped by a woman who had her 2 little girls (ages 3 and 5) with her. The woman was asking me about how my dog was so well trained (such a relief to not hear "OMG ITS A PIT BULL!!!"), and was astounded that she was a "pit bull".
We were talking dog training, and she looks down and goes "OH MY GOSH! I'M SO SORRY! KATIE, STEPHANIE, NO!". Seems little Katie decided that MJ would look MUCH better if her ears could somehow be tied together. She had her ears pulled up so high that it looked like they were just shy of being torn off the top of her head. All while this is going on, Stephanie is piling leaves on MJ's nose, and actually stuck one in there! MJ, of course, is calmly sitting there wagging her tail, has that typical pittie smile, and seems to be enjoying the abuse, lol! The woman was so suprised that a "pit bull" was just letting this happen with no complaints, and so we stood there for about 5 more minutes discussing how bad these dogs are portrayed. Score 1 more point for the APBT breed!! I just had to share this! ![]() |

I'd be shamed if my boy acted any other way!
We have to keep him away from my friends baby, though, cause he licks her face and she opens her mouth, which is not in her best interest. ![]() These dogs will take a beating from a kid, though! My little cousins came over and dressed B up like a princess, they also pulled on his ears, face and tail, stuck their fingers in his nose. He just sat there and took it. |
