So I know that DA can creep up at any time but as it stands now, Socrates LOVES other dogs. When he sees two dogs playing, he whimpers like crazy to join in. The second he sniffs another dog, his butt is in the air and he wants to play so bad. The problem is, he meets other dogs all the time, and all but two have had really bad reactions toward him. They either hate that he is so rough and end up just trying to get away from him, or are outright aggressive as soon as they see him. I don't know what it is. My mom has a bulldog that will tolerate other dogs, but isn't very fond of them. The same dogs that hate Socrates will have no problem at all with my mom's dog. The only dogs that he has ever played with are these two female APBTs that live on the island. They played great together but they only played together once and we haven't seen them since. I feel bad (maybe I shouldn't) because he clearly wants to play with other dogs but I am definitely not going to take him to a dog park and my family and friends' dogs hate him. He has only played with other dogs twice in his life...makes me kind of sad for him. I know that this breed doesn't need dog buddies, but he really seems to want them. Am I being ridiculous?
