Right now I couldn't do much of anything but I don't own dogs yet either. When I'm finished school, I'll start a savings set aside just in case that happens. I will probably move.

I'd like to believe I'd move... but then I start thinking about my two kids in school and uprooting them to start over somewhere else. (They've already been thru a divorce and multiple moves) It would definitely have to be a family decision. Let's hope it's never one we'll have to make!

I would do all in my power to keep my dogs if I had an option. If that meant moving, Id move.

I would move. Absolutely... If they banned my dogs from the US? Well then, there are nicer places... If I could afford it, I would move. Nobody's going to kill my dogs for no reason. If it won't kill me, I'd do it to save them.

I'd like to think that I would move, but it's not just that simple. You need money to move. So, in some ways, it may not be an option. I wouldn't let them take my dogs. I'd either farm them out to people I trust until I could get enough money to move, or I'd put them down myself.

I would definitely move. I'm renting now, so as long as I keep up payment until my lease is up, I'm sure my landlord doesn't care if someone's actually living here or not.
There is NO way that they could ban pits bulls in the whole country without more debate than what's going on with healthcare now. And it's my belief that breed bans fall under local or state jurisdiction? Could the federal government actually make that a law?

The govt. shouldn't be able to make a law like that, because it should be a state or local decision, however, the govt. hasn't listened to the Constitution for quite some time now, and they believe they can do whatever they want.

If that's the case, all it takes is 1 supreme court case to turn it around. Unconstitutional is unconstitutional. I just don't know why it's gotten to the point where we fear for our lives of our dogs....... There's going to be a tipping point, and it's not going to be pretty.

That's if the Supreme Court was still paying attention to the Constitution, but they have become just as corrupt as the Presidents and Congress, unfortunately.

you have way too much faith in the supreme court of the united states (plural term), they have proven many times that they will abandon the constituion in their rulings.... in the last 100+ years they have taken a hamiltonian approach, rather than a jeffersonian application of the law...

I guess I just refuse to believe that we can't even own dogs anymore without big government pounding down our doors.
I like to live in a naive world where the system of checks and balances is practiced to a t and our constitutional rights are upheld.

.
to have lived in our country when this was actually practiced, you would have had to have lived here prior to the supreme dictator.. abe lincoln... and thrown out part of andrew jacksons presidency as well...
