Someone I know rather well has what they call a shih-tzu, bulldog, pug, poodle cross (though it looks 100% like a black puggle to me) and informed me yesterday they were waiting to fix her after they bred her, they don't care what she's bred to... The male patterdale that runs loose I post about? She wanted to use him as a stud if he was out again...
Now, purposely breeding mutts simply to breed mutts because they want to have puppies isn't a good thing... But this dog's temperament is crazy. She's okay with me because I'm not the least bit scared of her, though she's gone for me a couple of times, but she will attack people out of nowhere. She has a huge underbite, and they don't plan on health-testing because she's a mutt, and they're healthy ![]() And the kicker, they "rescued" her from a good samaritan as a pup. Sorry, I have nobody else to complain to about my dog life ![]() |

People like that just absolutely IRK me to the bone
![]() ![]() If you want a puppy, rescue one. Especially if what you're breeding is a mutt anyway.. Why not go SAVE a puppy from a shelter, instead of having these puppies END UP IN THE SHELTER?! ![]() I'm just going to stop now, because I really can rant on and on and on and on. Especially when it comes to the welfare of dogs. ![]() |

![]() ![]() I'd take those pups if I could.. I'd take them all if I could.. I will never understand that mentality of people... When my boyfriend and I were looking for a place to live, we had already gotten Capone, so we had to find somewhere that would allow us to have him. My mother kept saying "why don't you just give him up or take him to the pound or give him back to the breeder?". "Because MOTHER, I took on a responsibility when I got this dog. I want this dog, and I'm keeping him." I couldn't tell you how many dogs we went through when I was a child because SHE got sick of them. It wasn't "fun" to her anymore. I'm sorry mother, at 20 years old (I was 20 at the time) I'm still a lot more responsible than you at 45. ![]() That was kind of off topic actually. It sounds like you just need to high-five their face.. Though it won't make them realize anything.. I just wish you could slap some sense into people.. |

I have a problem with puggles..... Sorry if that offends anyone. But EVERY puggle I have EVER met has been an a**hole. There was one at the daycare I worked at named Kizmet, who literally would stalk you and bite the shit out of your ankles. Then it got hit by a truck, broke it's pelvis, and came back 6 months later, meaner than ever.
Most of these dogs are INCREDIBLY poorly bred. They have health defects galor. I'd say stay as far away from this situation as possible, because I have a feeling I know who they're going to run to when they can't sell those pups or mom is having trouble with the birth or the patterdale kills the puggle, etc etc etc. There is nothing good about that situation. |

Uggghh!!! I don't understand the mindset of people, but I've heard it a million times before.... like they think it will be a better dog AFTER it has puppies somehow. They think that she will be a better dog if she has puppies "just once". I've heard.... "oh, we just want her to have one litter of puppies so she can experience what it's like to be a mom"...... like the dog gives a rat's behind if it has puppies or not.

I can't stand puggles. I also can't stand irresponsible people owning dogs. But really, I can't stand puggles. (I had to say it again.)
There's a "pet store" in town that is pretty much the home of poorly bred mini mutts. It is the home of the puggle, as well as what I like to call the Shar-Basset. Yes, a shar-pei basset hound mix. Hideous. Loves to eat poop. Shar-pei face, basset hound body. It has the basset legs, which are in HORRID shape, it's paws practically touch it's foreleg. Countless health problems. And people will pay almost a grand for these?!? I met a couple who BOUGHT one of these, the litter their dog is from is STILL at the pet store (a year and a half later). |

![]() I Can't STAND people who want to breed their dog for Stupid reasons. "Want her to experience birth" - "my dog is So good, I simply MUST have a pup from him/her" - "the Pups will be SO Cute!" - "my family & friends say they ALL want 1 of the pups" .........etc. etc. etc. etc..... They think it's gonna be "So Much Fun"! & " Soooooo Easy!" ...........Yeah, Sure it will ![]() |

I don't think you rant too much.
![]() I have learned to some what keep my mouth shut. I got kicked out of a family reunion for my opinions one time! ![]() My roommate's sister has 2 adorable little mutts. Both about 12lbs. One to me looks almost purebred Border Terrier. The other I'm not really sure. She has grey/black grizzled color long silky hair. Face almost like a Yorkie, but she is taller and very light built. Well she was in her first heat and her sister didn't want to spay b/c she was going to breed them next heat. Common sense would be to separate them. She let them out together and well, we all know what happened. Now she has a knocked up mutt. I'm suppose to be happy for her b/c she is going to be a Grandma! ![]() |

Grrrrrr!
Take them to a kill shelter that has a litter of pups. Exp?lain graphically what will happen to them. I also dislike puggles. My co worher has onee. Every time it barks at me I want to grab it by the collar and growl at it. Its terrified of tank though, which is pretty funny. The puggle rushed him once (they haven't trained the little snot at all) so tank whapped it with his big ol paw. He was trying to play with it. Now everytime it sees tank, it hides in the office... lol. And they paid like $800 for the ugly thing. Go figure, my brother in law adoped a GORGEOUS purebred pug from the pound for $50. And the pug is awesome. |
