So...
tonight I got a call from the girl I rescued Rokai from (RIP baby) and I just couldn't believe my ears! first thing she asks me "do you know anyone that wants a dog?" seriously? AGAIN?! ![]() now she has had Rokai from his 4 months to 6 months, and that dog got treated like shit, underfed, beaten up and shit so I agreed to take him. then I saw her brother and he was walking this young boxer-thingy, about 8 months old, VERY unruly dog. but then again, from such people I wouldn't expect any better. and so his sister got back in touch with me to see how "her" dog was doing (really, as if she cared lol, it was me or the pound so...) I went over for the sake of showing some pics and give a few updates on the dog and when I come to her apt, what do I see? a 5 mos old amstaff female she just bought, she proceeds to tell me how awfull that dog smells etc I replied that would be normal, since your dog has SEVERE mange and you're leaving it untreated. anyways... needless to say, she got rid of the amstaff and he got rid of his boxer mutt. and now she's calling me, asking me if I want, or if I know anybody that want's a dog because they bred her boyfriends "pit bull" with some other mutt on the corner of the street! I'm SOOO pissed right now! can't people learn from their mistakes? ![]() (yeah, I know the hours sound odd but here it's around noon ![]() |

No, people won't learn. I had a co-worker come to work all bummed out.
Her dog got hit on the highway. She said, "I'm all done with dogs. They're so stupid." I asked what she meant. "In the last three years, eleven of them got hit on that road. You'd think one of them would have been smart enough to live." eleven. Yeah, it's a dog problem. |

u r right Ganja, people keep making the same mistakes.
I was walking my pup recently when a stranger approached admiring him. 'my kids would love a dog like him, what kind is he ( I often tell strangers 'mutt' just in case they're looney), where did you get him, any more?, I want to get one like him when I bring my dog to the shelter.' I asked why he wanted to give up his dog, he said, oh, he's a pit bull and he's hard to control, but that's because he's old, a year old so i can't train him. I suggested a year old dog is young and can be trained and that you can make the training fun and get the kids involved, he didn't want to hear anything so I gave up and went on my way. |

I told her how I felt, and the only thing that I managed to accomplish with doing so is seeing her at my front door this morning with 8 pups in her trunk, thinking she could trick me into taking one.
her own words: "I thought it would be the same as with Dolce (Rokai... no way I would keep the name Dolce LOL) and that you'd fall in love once you saw them" that girl's insane... ![]() I directed her to the only no-kill sheltre I know off, who is allready dealing with 80% of their dogs being amstaff or amstaff mixes ![]() |
