Default Sweet story that needs to be shared.
I had a really touching experience today that I wanted to share with other pit bull lovers.

I was at my uncles place walking his dog as a favor(sometimes he doesn't feel well enough to do it himself) and I came across a very elderly lady. She was sitting on her front porch with a dark chocolate colored pitbull. (beautiful dog) The dog had no leash or muzzle and it didn't even look twice at me or anything else around it. The lady seen that I also was walking a pitbull and asked me if she was friendly towards dogs, I said yes, so she invited me to sit with her and have a little chat about dogs because she loved the breed and didn't meet many people that loved them as much as she did. So we sat there and talked for a while and ofcourse, some jerk comes and ruins our time. I don't think this guy was really against pitbulls he was just making a clear point about the ban. He looks at our dogs and said to the old lady, "why isn't your dog wearing a muzzle? or a leash? and why isn't he neutered? you know thats illegal right, you should really neuter that dog, we don't need any more pitbull puppies!" and did she ever tell him straight. These were her exact words, I texted my cousin while she was talking I was so shocked LOL.

She said, "Listen buddy, I don't give a damn about what you or the law tells me. I've had this dog before the ban came in effect and hes been sitting on this porch with me since he was a pup. He never once disobeyed me, he never once ran away, he never once sired a litter and he never once attacked or bit anyone or anything. I'm 87 years old and hes 14 hes hitting the road soon and so am I! So no I will not listen to you, he will die happy and intact. Now have a nice day boy."

It makes me sad that there isn't many people out there like this woman, and damn did she know her stuff. I will definitely be visiting her more often.

That's a great story! It reminds me when I met a woman once on the edge of town near the river. She had a ''pit'' in her yard off leash and waved us over. She said she couldn't walk and wished her dog had a playmate. The 2 dogs started playing right away! We visited a few times but she gave the dog away because she felt bad because she couldn't walk him. Turns out she gave him to a couple down the street with a ''pit'' who doesn't walk them either. I'll post a pic...
