Default How would your life be without your dog(s)?
Have you ever imagined what your life would be without your best friend?

Hmmm...my life would be way less hectic. The bf and I would have more money and would be able to travel. (We both love to travel but with five dogs it is hard to find a house sitter.) But also my life would be more boring. The dogs supply a source of entertainment for us. They each are goofy in their own way and are always cracking us up.

Considering I just lost my black lab mix, Rocky I had for 12 wonderful years in December and my rottweiler/lab mix, Jenny I had for 10 and half wonderful years in February. I know what it feels like to be without my two best friends. I grew up with them. They were my "heart" dogs and everything you could ask for in a dog.

What would I do without my current pets? I don't think I could bare to go through another loss right now whether it's my 3 wonderful dogs or my 3 wonderful cats I don't want to ever lose them. The two little ones (Rudy & Ginger) I don't consider them my very best friends. Sure they are my friends but they are my parent's dogs. But I don't think I could live without them.

Buster my coonhound is more of my best friend than those 2 not that I don't love them but they aren't really mine.

I have never lost a cat because these 2 wonderful boys and my kitten are the only ones I have ever had in my life. I don't think I could bare to lose them either especially Miagi & Tiger. Miagi makes me laugh every day with his goofiness and Tiger just is there for me and makes me smile.

Angel is sweet but she's a kitten so she isn't my very best friend ... yet lmao but she thinks she is my best friend she follows me around the house like a lost little puppy.. I mean kitten.

So I couldn't do without any of them but I have had to learn how to live without Rocky & Jenny having them since pups when I was a pre teen for a long time and it's hard. I just hope I never lose any of my other babies, like I said I don't think I could bare another loss.

Pros: I'd be a little richer and my house would be a little cleaner.

Cons: I'd be a little fatter (fewer walks), a little less healthy (see above plus I would not have the laughter my dog gives me), and worst of all I'd be a lot sadder.

No contest: Life is better with dog!

Oh P.S. I also would not have this PBC addiction which is a "pro" or "con" depending on the day and who you ask

Pros of a "No Dog Life": I'd get a good night's sleep. I'd be able to go where ever I want whenever I want without worrying about whom will fed them and if anyone will walk them. I wouldn't have to listen to my Dad say how he disagrees with the amount of dogs I have.

Cons of a "No Dog Life": I would probably be more heavy, since, they motivate me to get out and walk them. I'd be a bit bored, since, they provide some entertainment. I'd never have a friend in this town, because the one I do have I found through dogs. LOL.

Sorry for your loss Krista!

I would have a cleaner house because I would clean it instead of playing with him, not cause he is dirty. I would probably be bored and less happy!

I don't want to imagine life without them.

I lost 40 lb with Sam, she is the best workout buddy ever. I regained TONS of confidence. She helped me get over the passing of my mom better than anyone else. I Heart Sam.
Lou is the newest addition, and already in these few months I couldn't picture life without him.

lol, and I have OCD when it comes to cleaning, they give me an excuse to clean. How weird am I?

I only wish I would have grown up with animals.

I can't even imagine it! As I sit here typing I can look around the room and see 6 here right now. The dogs really are a way of life here at my house. I have more dog beds than people beds!

Hmmmm......

Without dogs ~
I'd have a lot more $$$$ and a lot more time
I'd have a lot less work to do
I wouldn't have to miss the end of a show/movie because someone had to go out
I wouldn't have to clean crap out of the yard
I wouldn't have to go out in gale force rains and frigid blizzards because someone had to go out...
I wouldn't go to bed and get dog hair in my mouth when I fluffed the covers....
I wouldn't have to vacuum as much...
I would be able to go on vacation when I felt the urge....
I wouldn't have to listen to barking...
I wouldn't have to feed anyone twice/daily

I'm sure I left something out.....

But....I'd miss their companionship
my idleness would get me into more trouble
I'd miss their funny antics
I'd miss their unconditional love
And I'd probably get heavier not being forced to go outside....O.K, so that one is a stretch...

My house would be so much cleaner! Oh my goodness, but quite honestly, I wouldn't be able to give up Riley. He's taught me so much about love and loss and the thought of giving him up - I don't even want to think of it!

If I didn't have dogs in my life...I'd have no job, future career, hobby or uhm...life. Dang!

I'd rather not imagine it at all! Empty describes it perfectly. Very, very empty.
