Default Different Angle
ive been reading the topic about defending dog fighting and just thought i would ask a question with a different angle on it.
im new here so i dont mean to jump in head first with a load of pro dog matching i realise and accept that for 90 % of the population it is wrong
BUT
in this decision making of right and wrong has anybody stopped to think of the poor dogs ? i mean would you stop a greyhound from running ?

im going to use ch jeep as the example as he is possibly the most well known dog in the history of the breed.but i am talking about any game bred apbt.

ok.we as owners dictate what our dog does for enjoyment.what he eats.where he visits.who he meets.it is all OUR CHOICE.

so my question is this = if ch.jeep could have made the choices instead of his owner do you think he would have

A.worked hard trained to the peak of physical fitness and fought a succesful career in the pit with an owner he loved ?
or
B.spent a lifetime on the couch eating burgers and watching tv going for park walks with an owner he loved ?

we always here how selfish a dog matcher is.but who really is the selfish one ?
i hope this question doesnt cause offence i just find the way people view these dogs interesting and maybe it will get some people thinking.

He would obviously want choice B but he would also want certain elements of choice A like dog-on-dog contact.

Well, my boy would chose scrappin' at every chance he got. Gaud... I spend 99.9% of my time making sure he DOESN'T scrap! lol I think he just bides his time on the couch waiting until I slip up so he can kick some but!

I wrote one of my blogs on something along these lines Clueless.... I don't feel allowing a APBT to match into an equal APBT is as cruel as ANY form of hunting with dogs... Simply because the other dog wants to fight just as much as yours.... and the prey in question in the hunt fights simply because it wants to live.

Blog is where someone can write down their thoughts or feelings, instead of having an open thread like this one, like a journal on-line.

Most likely scrapping, but as many critics would say Dogs would like to do a lot of things that we shouldn't allow them to do.

Jersey would totally choose scrappin'. DO I love that she dislikes other dogs, of course not, but does it make me think of her as anything less than perfect, no way. Although after the scrap she probably would love to sit around on the couch being all lazy and what not. All in a days work to her.
