use sun block!
my 4 month old pit bull puppy is all white and his stomach is pink, and i think the dogs just get pink spots bc that's the color of their skin.
looks like my dog is gonna have a "puppy belly" forever.

Default Anyone with white or semi white pups
West is white, brindle and a little black. On the parts that are white (all 4 legs, neck and most of his face) his fur looks kind of pink at times. He is almost 6 months old. Do any of yours have this pinkish tint to them? Or is there something I should be concerned about? He isn't itchy other than normal dog itches, and no hair loss or dry skin. I am also seeing more dark spots in the white that look like the older he gets the spots will pop out. Is the pink tint because he is still a puppy, and will grow out of it?

Most white dogs or dogs with white in them have pink areas or show pink in certain lighting. It is the skin color under the fur which, is very visible in most white dogs with short coats. Also, black spots are not uncommon at all...just the color changing as they grow up.

The pink is just his skin showing through the white fur. His fur may get thicker but the pink is normal. The only thing to worry about is sunburn. My white boy got more dark pigment with age also.

I don't have a white pup, but I would guess it's the "puppy" still in him. Also, don't let him stay outside for very long, he's more susceptible to sunburn.

Thanks! You can see it mostly on his face. He is the first white coated dog I have had, and I wasn't sure if it was a permanent thing, or something he may grow out of. Either way he is stinking adorable!

And thanks for the tip on sunburn. I would have never thought of that! It's been so hot and humid here already this summer, aside form going out to pee/poo he doesn't stay out long during the day. Usually in the early evening he goes out and plays.

Jack is 2 years old and pink under his white coat. He gets pinker when he gets excited.

He's also got spots that have developed as he's gotten older. It's especially noticeable when I wet him for a bath! More and more speckles every time!

Petey's entirely white. His belly is super duper pink, and he gets even more pink when he plays/gets excited, and when his allergies act up. He's got horrible allergies.. And the spots are normal. You got nada to worry about, other than getting sunburnt.

Loki, my girl, is mainly white- I put sun-block on her ears and around her eyes as these always look pink!

Oh, and she also has a blue eye which makes her more human to me (I have blue eyes) but apparently very scary to others! She's lovely! Just doesn't have much pigment!

Savannah is white and you can see pink on her especially around her nose but in a muggy environment you can start to see more patches of pink like on the top of her head in her leg pits etc. I think once their blood starts to warm up it makes the skin more visible but that is just my thought.

White dog are more likely to get skin cancer if sun block is not used. I don't even let me white dog out when the backyard is in full sun.
