Default Very funny story about Charlie and the water!
Hi!
So lastnight my fiance Mike and I went to the park at dusk to take Babe and Charlie for thier extra long Friday night walk. We were working on keeping them in sync, Charlie is still learning but doing awesome!
We came up to the lake and got curious how Charlie was with water. Our other apbt Terrell LOVES the water! Babe is getting curious but has not jumped in yet. And this was Charlies first introduction. Mike found a stick, put it infront of Charlies nosethen threw it in the water, but not too far from the shore. Charlie proceded to trot right in!(Babe was intently watching) But here is the funny part.... the stick sank and Charlie still wanted to look for it. He stuck his whole head under water like a duck! Butt in the air! HAHA! He continued to do this until he came up with the stick! Charlie is so determined and hard working, he will literally do anything to please us. He wanted to please Mike so bad and find that sunken stick!

LOL thats cute! Charlie is lucky to have you guys.

Also I want to let you know. Becareful on his activity level. Because he is HW+ you do not want him doing to much. The more activity the harder the blood flows through the heart and the heart has to work harder because of the worms.

you are absolutely right about that. we are being cautious. we wait until later in the evening so its not so hot and we move at a pretty comfortable pace. No jogging or powerwalking. I would hate to cut out walks for him all together because he just adores them now. Im assuming he was never really walked before. You should see his face when we bust out the leash. I would hate to take that away from him. But you are right and I totally understand where you are coming from.
