I have a wonderful story that I would like to share. Yesterday I found an APBT wandering around outside my work in Dallas. Its not a very good area. He looked very tired and dehydrated. I was able to get him to come to me following my commands. He is a VERY SWEET dog, and is very obedient. I gave him fresh water and he quickly obliged. After I had earned his trust, I began to examine him. He has scars on his hind legs, tail, and ears, He had a big heavy chain collar on that was very tight and has left a ring around his neck. My coworkers were going to call animal control and I feared for his life, he is perfectly capable of being someones pet and deserves to be loved. I brought him home to Arlington. He is VERY big, and I did not know how he would react to my 6 month female APBT. Nor, did I know how she would react to him. But when we introduced them they were totally fine. Excited but no aggression. I was so happy. We have named him Charlie. We cut off the awful chain around his neck and gave him a bath. He cleaned up like a shiny new penny. So handsome! Charlie is so well behaved and sweet for how he has been treated in the past. We love him, and Im so grateful that we crossed paths. I know that if animal control came to get him that his life would most likely come to an end and if he stayed on the streets he would have the same outcome. Charlie is perfectly capable of being a pet and is doing great!
