A dog bit part of a little girls ear in San Antonio today. The culprit? A Labrador/Beagle mix.

SAN ANTONIO -- A 3-year-old girl was taken to a hospital after a dog bit off part of her ear, police said.
The child's family was moving out of a home in the 8300 block of Dawnwood Drive when the landlord's dog, identified as a labrador-beagle mix, bit off part of the girl's ear.

She was taken to Children's Methodist Hospital in unknown condition while the dog was picked up by Animal Care Services, police said. The dog belongs to the landlord's son-in-law, ACS officials said. The dog needs to be quarantined to comply with state law and ensure its vaccinations are up-to-date, they said.

I had part of my ear bit off when I was about 6 years old...by the neighbor dog that had known me since he was a puppy....he was some mix breed and came out the front door and knocked me down and got a piece of my ear before the family friend of theres (that was working on his truck) got out from under the truck and grabed the dog....it try to continue attacking until the friend grabbed him....I still loved the dog and it never did anything wrong after that. I had to go to the doctor....they said there was nothing they could do...it is cartilige it will grow back if it is the bottom part.

Thankfully it wasnt any more serious MissE, and Im glad it in no way lessened your love for dogs.

i have a 3 year old harrier beagle and he is one of the sweetest dogs ive ever had he gets along very well with my pit..

i know where your coming from though alot of beagles are very nippy

Doesn't matter the breed...an owner did not carry out their responsibility in this case as in most cases like this.
