Great looking Pups now I can see them. What type of input do you want? They are all cute. How are their personalities?

The owner says they have avant and colby in there line. I don't have mom's or dad's names yet or pics. Will get them tonight.

Input wise, mean do they look good? Can you tell what kind they are yet? Thanks. Really new to this and just want to have all my bases covered

I'm not an expert, but I really don't think you can tell "what they are" yet... they are simply too young. There are some others on here that are more experienced with blood lines, but if you have their peds, it would help if you could post them.

They are good looking pups though, from what I can tell.

They look cute to me. It is hard to tell anything at that age and would be nice to see the parents. As long as you not only look and the dog but focus on its personality they best that you can with a puppy you should be fine. I always say when picking out a pup let the dog come to you.

A better picture to show us would be a picture of the parents.

The pups are cute, though.

If you are talking about Avant Bloodlines out of Garland/Dallas area...he breeds overdone AmBullys...not even Ambullys IMO...just "hot messes". Hard to tell from the picks of pups. I seem to remember an Avant Ch Alien but they have definitely moved away from that...

Diesel that is where they are from. Garland/Dallas. Lol how in the world did you know that. Can you give me some more detail on what exactly you mean. I am new and just starting to learn. Thanks.

Interesting cross if that's what they really are. Since you're so new at this, please take your time and don't rush into a puppy. Do some research and figure out what you want out of the dog and that will help determine what bloodline to go with. I say this because I've been there. Puppy fever is a horrible disease LOL.

They are cute pups! Can't tell bloodline by looks though.

I just want to say HOLY S&&&. I found this site about 3 hours ago and haven't gotten squat done at work. There is more info here then i have seen in the past 3 months. I am researching my butt off. I do know the parents are UKC registered if that helps.

Thanks to all.

Being in Texas with a few friends who have yards...I run into stuff on occasion. If they are from that kennel, they will most likely be Huge Ambullys taken to the extreme and they are using the "Colby" name to increase sales. Definitely do more research...honestly, you could probably rescue a dog with better performance IMO. Are they asking around $400-$700 a pup? If so, that is probably them.

Like JRSPITS said, do your research...take your time. Remember, all puppies are cute...but you have to live with them after they growup.

Just look at the dogs on his site. Pay CLOSE attention to the way the legs are bowed out, the backs are swayed, the muzzles are WAY too short, and so on. These dogs are in for a lifetime of joint, back, and breathing problems.
These dogs are poorly bred, to say the least. I think you'd be better off finding a pup elsewhere.

We aren't talking about the same guy. He doesn't have a web site I don't think. I know the phone number and address are not the same.

Doesn't have to be the "Same Guy" Gala was just pointing out the "Bloodline".

And the Avant Bloodline personally is hidious and obviously dogs being bred by some dumb mo-foes....The dogs are basically Olde English Bulldogs prolly crossed with god knows what.

Do research on dog kennels, breeders, bloodlines etc before purchasing a puppy. If you really want one of these puppies you posted regardless of what your being told all the power to you, essentially they need homes too BUT before labeling the dog "American Pit Bull Terrier" do some research so you don't feed into there "Pit Bull Crap"

lastcall8, props to you for taking time to do research and listening to the replies. We just want you to be aware of the difference between people selling dogs as APBTs when they are really american bullies and the real ABPT.

If you could get the breeder to email you a pedigree then post it here, it would be easier to tell you what you would be getting. A lot of back yard breeders will tell you the pup's avant/colby when in reality the pup only has one colby and one avant dog in a 7 generation pedigree. It's just too easy for them to take advantage of an uninformed buyer.

Good luck in your search amd your new forum addiction .
