Default Shy pup
I just got a 12 week old abda reg. apbt. last sunday. At first he was a little stand-offish and shy but now he's opened up when we're inside the apartment. When i take him out to walk him He kind of freezes (not to fond of the leash lol but i'm trying to teach him now) especially when there a people or weird noises around. Which it eventually leads me to semi dragging him around. Whenever we go outside occasionally mostly during the day when there is more going on he shakes like he's very nervous/scared and just sits there. Also occasionally at night which i just figured it was cold at first. I know I'm a little late to socialize him but i want to get him well socialized soon.....any suggestions? (any help would be appreciated)

Dooley used to be shy and nervous. I started to take him out early in the morning and late at night for his walks. he got used to the leash in 4-5 days inside the house and it took him like two weeks to feel comfortable outside on a leash. Then I started to walk him a little earlier in the afternoons until he got used to traffic and people. I used to carry treats to encourage him when he got the tantrums and did not want to walk. Lots of great information in the training sections here. Read and ask, there is a wealth of wisdom among members of this forum. Patience, time, read and patience!
