Default Need naming suggestions!
As stated in the intro thread, we're in the process of adopting a 2-month-old pit bull mix (the foster mom believes she's a pit bull/plott hound).

She's very sweet and affectionate. She has brown eyes and a brindle coat.

Photos taken by the foster mom:

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3036/...9de55ded_b.jpg

So far we know that she loves kissing, cuddling, and playing tug-of-war and fetch. She's also very smart and patient, especially for a puppy.

We're trying to come up with a unique name for her but we're struggling to find the perfect name. Any suggestions are most appreciated.

Also, I agree that I don't see much or any plott..unless plotts are abundant in your area, then I wouldn't count on it. You won't be able to really tell what she's mixed with until she's a little older, not that it matters pit bull/ANYTHING is always guarenteed to be cute!

A lot of great suggestions so far - I've jotted down a few that I particularly liked.

pitbull_loverforever: yeah i'm not sure why she thinks plott hound, as i don't see it either - though they aren't terribly uncommon around here. i've seen a few mixes at rescues. we'll see when she gets bigger

peachtea: those suggestions are all unique, which is what we want thanks! i liked several of them a lot.

mollie's nana: that's funny, because Molly was a name that i liked and is on our list

and phantom: that's an adorable name, but i have an ex-boyfriend named Brendon - which is way too close to that. it would be a little weird

why don't you pick out your top 5 names, and either do a poll here and take the one that gets the most votes, or else put your top 3 names in a hat and draw? I would have a hard time choosing a name... I'd have to get more puppies!!! lol

so we heard from the foster mom, who spoke with the program director. apparently she had some concerns on our application (?!?) i'm getting nervous because i know we can provide a great home for her and we've already grown so attached to her (it's hard not to!). hopefully the director will call soon so we can discuss what her concerns are and hopefully she'll see that we're responsible people who just want give a home to a dog in need of one.

prayers and crossed fingers are appreciated!

Just heard from the rescue (finally!) and they didn't mention any concerns at all so I dunno what the deal was with that! We're setting up a home visit this week and if all goes well, she'll stay with us when the visit is over!

Decided on a name yet? We saw a pit for adoption this weekend, her name was Lexus... she kinda looked like your pup.. I wanted her soo bad. If I didn't have 6 dogs at home, and with Mollie the only inside dog, and somewhat DA, I would have brought her home.... she was the calmest dog I've ever seen.

I'm still torn on what to name her

I think Navi is out of the running now, but I still love Bug, Zelda, and Radar. We still have time to choose so we'll see
