I see some of them as a harmless bit of fun... though being an unemployed bum, i have signed up for those survey thingies that get you stuff...

I always read the questions to see if they are surveys that I would like to particiapte in .. I have a rule not to have rules about most things

I see some of them as a harmless bit of fun... though being an unemployed bum, i have signed up for those survey thingies that get you stuff...

I've also signed up for a couple of those. What I've found though, is that I'll get about half-way through their questionnaire, then bomb out because I generally don't spend enough on (or buy enough of) whatever it is they're surveying. A bit frustrating. Could always BS, I suppose.

I liked the ideas about where roughbarked's BOM site question should go .. and immediately thought of doing a survey ... should this thread be in SSSAF or TechTalk ... just joking!

I always liked the results when the same questions were asked in more than one forum ... quite different responses often sent the threads in entirely different and equally useful directions.
