I would have given a months pay to see a live launch.
The one thing I miss about our house in Tampa. We could see the launches over our neighbors roof across the street. Here, no dice.

Yup sure did, I want to see the last launch of the shuttle in June/July

I saw a night take off about 20 years ago from not too far away. just off the water about 3 miles south of the launch pad

That was probably the most impressive thing I have ever witnessed.

Not just the visual but the sound. The earth shook like crazy

That's awesome most of the time in planes I'm too busy sleeping to look out the windows it'd be incredible to see something like this.

Glad y'all enjoyed it It was a beautiful day for a flight.

I've never been to the Cape for a shuttle launch.

I did go for the Moon landing launch. As I was pretty small I only really remember how loud it was. So I'm sure the shuttles were loud too.
