Recently modern geologists have determined that the Earth is about 4.5 Billion years old. Creationists tell me that the earth is clearly only 5 thousand years old, and dinosaurs and man lived together, and the earth was covered in a ice shield and people lived to be thousands of years old.
What do you believe? |

Ah, dont worry, I grew up with these nutters. God was perfect when he killed people in a worldwide genocide by flooding the earth too and Lots daughters were right to get their father drunk and rape him as well but hey, what do I know about a book I've read cover to cover? For the record, the great flood did not make the grand canyon, just thought I'd get that off my chest too. It's not physically possible. |

The age of earth is determined by very careful geological examination, of course it's impossible to say exactly how old it is, but my bet is with with the real scientists. The creationists just say 'because the bible says so' and thats just plain stupidity.
Most creatures we today call dinosaurs went extinct 65 million years ago, earliest evidence of modern humans are from about 10,000 BC I think. |
