is it possible that prehistoric life could still exist without us knowing?

i mean.....theres vast tracts of jungle thats as yet still unexplored

Cockroaches are prehistoric lifeforms. And a fish was recently discovered that was thought to have been extinct for millions of years... But I don't think T-Rexes are running around in the forests

Cockroaches are prehistoric lifeforms. And a fish was recently discovered that was thought to have been extinct for millions of years... But I don't think T-Rexes are running around in the forests
the ceolacanth might be the fish your on about...thought to be extinct for 35 million years......i'm not so much on about huge creatures but smaller ones like perhaps one of the smaller sabre tooths

Yes, that's the one. I guess it would be possible for small creatures to still be alive. Although they'd be very few in numbers, and confined to a very limited area, considering we haven't found them yet. And existing a very long time with only a few individuals is not extremely likely.

there was a new species of dinosaur located recently, can't remember exactly where it was found. what i think is interesting is the possibility of another human civilization on the earth where all the evidence was destroyed, perhaps older than dinosaur civilization...oh, also, on Nova supposedly the Ancient Egyptians had electricity harnassed into some sort of battery. though they didn't have any use for it
