couldn't they have done what the egyptians did and use boats/barges to shift them? The used logs to roll the to the desired destination?

That is one popular theory. I'd personally be amazed to learn that they could built boats that could carry those huge rocks, back then though.

doesn't need to be a proper boat, a flat barge would do, but I see your point, even the easiest method is difficult, logistically speaking, plus, there is eveidence the builders fucked up consistently when building the thing, lol

I once heard a theory that they moved the block similarly to how garbage men move dust bins, and they actually demonstrated it on a replication of a stone-hedge rock. And it worked. Anybody else heard about this?
