Default Pearls..
David and I were having a discussion and I believe that just about everyone knows how long oysters and clams and all that are irritated to make a decent pearl. I personally found out when I was about 6-ish and David only found out tonight off me.. lol so I am going to make a little poll to find out what people think..

By the way, this is around the MINIMUM amount of time it can take..

I believe it depends on the type of pearl, anything from between a year and 6 or 7 years. Not a real big fan of pearls myself.

The only good thing about pearls is they stay crunchy in milk

I'd say because of their price it would have to be either 3 or 30 I voted for 30, but i think that may have been too high!

I hate pearls.
While cool scientifically speaking, fashionably they're for old ladies who smell like rose scented Renuzit.

The answer is up to 3 years.

I almost wanted to say 30 but that seemed kind of long so my guess was 3 years.

Where was the '3 minutes' option, Tildy?

OK. Maybe you were right... I do wonder WHY this is such common knowledge, though :P

I'll give you a clue... the majority seem to have a pretty good idea about the answer.

I must be a little old lady then lol.

I have numerous strands of pearls and bracelets .. I have white, pink, black, silver, multi strands, single strands, vintage strands .. you name it. The last strand I got was a Mikimoto single strand/bracelet she got on sale, I think they set my mother back about a grand lol (was my xmas gift).

Pearls don't have to be for old ladies, I have lots of pearls, I'm 16 ffs!! lol

I lurve them..

By the way, the answer was 3 years.. They can take anywhere between 3-6 years.. It's VERRRRYYYYY unusual to get any less or longer... lol

My point has been proved!!

It's just common knowledge that a lot of people know..
