Default M-Theory
Never heard of it Evan. Don't wanna look it up. Figured you could break it down Barney-style for me.

Explain.

Simply put, it is an addition to the String Theory, with some minor changes, the major one being that it states that we are a part of a "multi-verse" meaning that we are one in an endless chain of universes basically a slice in an endless loaf of bread, and that our universe is unique to us and designed specifically to be inhabited by us.

Essentially it is a fanciful addition to the Big Bang theory that allows for a creative intelligence having something to do with our universes creation.

And is there any sort of proof, theoretical or otherwise?

Only theory.

Look at the vids I posetd called Big Bang for Dummies, simple and very informative.

Man, I just made you a thread from scratch to cram all this into my brain, and you're sending me elsewhere?

I will explain it in more deatil if you wish Donnie, I do not mind for you.

BUT it gets a lot more complex the further we get into it.

Let me work on it in the morning. My fingers are tired

Okay, Donnie here goes.

Remember though, this theory is not only not proven, but is a string of matematical commands that are being looked at in practically every think tank in existence, it is a chain of equations that I can only partially grasp and even then, just a line or two out of hundreds, I am no theoretical physicist by any stroke of the imagination.

And also remember that you did not ask me how to make a BLT, this theory has to do with how the universe developed, the creation of what we live in, and on is assumed to be someplace in the thousands of strings of command of these equations.

Basically, Einstein proposed a theory, that our universe was multi faceted, and that 3 dimension did not explain it, but rather 10...I said it...10.

On that basis, there were infinite "strings" that make up the universe, and these strings co-exist and essentially create a harmony if you will of planetary harmonics. This also gave way to the idea of the relationship of light and gravitational forces that lead him to not only develop E=MC2, but also dis-prove Newtons long standing theory of gravity and its impact on objects. (Another long story)

Then came another physicist, Einstein by this time was not happy with some of his theories of how our universe developed SPECIFICALLY extreme gravity in the far reaches of the universe.

The nest theory, Super String, or M-Theory suggested the possibility of another dimension, the 11th.

It suggests that there are distinct possibilities lying in the idea that there is another unseen dimension and it strings together our universe with many others.

Thus we enter the "black hole". Now in order for this to exist, there simply has to be something at the other side correct? Is this possibly the window to another universe? Is there somewhere in the deep reaches of space, pockets of "extreme, and violent gravitational forces"?

In order to explain this you need both Einsteins theory tied together with M-Theory and here is why, although the string is not proven it does make sense in regards to the collision of atoms and the subsequent creation of "waves".

When you look at the "Big Bang" theory, it suggests that there were violent reactions that took place over billions of years, and the idea that gives theorists the concept that a "creative intelligence" had a hand in all of it is this, simply put.

There is no mathematical explaination for how certain reactions could have happened otherwise, translation, it could not have happened simply by accident.

That is one thiing science typically does not allow for, accidents.

Better?

I may have left some things out...I am no astrophysicist

You lost me at "Okay, Donnie".

That's some intriguing stuff. Your explanation made quite a bit more sense than Wikipedia. Thank you sir

That actually wasn't half bad up there BB. I haven't studied up much on my quantum or astrophysics material since... oh I'd say 2002 or so.

The problem with the field is that it's a black hole all unto itself. The more time you're willing to devote to it, the deeper you find that it goes. I actually ended off my romance with the science on the topic of Multi-verse, plexi-verse, superverse, etc.... Lots of A leads to B leads to C which is needed for A. :P

If you're ever in So Cal, my dad and I attend Riverside Astronomical Society meetings on occasion. You should come.

Oh, that reminds me... stand by....

Taken in my dads backyard last week using his 8" Schmidt & Cassegrain (sp?) and a standard digital camera. 20 second exposure. It's the Orion Nebula, M42.

Thought you might enjoy it.
