Shouldn't I have got a cd with a buncha activation codes or something for the programs on here?

Depends on the type of computer you have...
If you got a netbook or mini, no there's no CDs...hell there's no CD drive on some of them.
Give me the model and I'll see if I can find out for you.

it usually comes preloaded or there is a partition with everything you need waiting to be extracted

If you have no activation key it must be a trial as they'd give you an activation key with the full version.

There are ways to get it though

Not from me, I abhor such standards.

Seriously, just google free Microsoft word or something.
