Default Serena/Vika - WHO YA GOT?
The women's final at this year's US Open - a showdown for the final Slam title of the year (with each finalist already owning one), and likely for Player of The Year rights.

Career H2H - 9-1 Serena. Career on hard court is 5-1 Serena. Career at Slams is 6-0 Serena. Career in finals is 1-1, with Vika having won the final at Miami in '09, and Serena taking the title at Madrid this season.

Vika will have to move Serena A LOT if she wants any chance.

Recent history would suggest Serena in straights, one fairly close set and one super close set. With Serena struggling with nerves at this tournament the last handful of years, it's possible she'll be dialed in all match or spraying balls all over. Who knows? Still, it seems silly to bet against her.

I'm sure I said something very similar last year, and we all know what happened then, but I don't see Serena losing this one.

Serena has just looked too dominant. Vika has won some fights but this isn't going to be one.

Vika got it together today sufficiently to beat Maria, but nothing I saw today would be enough against Serena. That's why I voted for Serena in straight sets. Score prediction...6-2, 6-4. GlennHarman

Of all the women on the WTA today, I think Azarenka is the only one who can challenge Serena at her current level. I pick Serena to win, but I think this it is going to be a 3-set struggle.

Remember when Vika almost beat Serena at the Aussie, twice? Is Serena just playing better these days? Worried about Vika's serve. One area she could really improve.

Serena in 2.

Same here. I didn't even bother to see last year's final, but that makes it even more lopsided for Serena. It is not going to happen twice, least of all at the USO.
Like somebody else said, 2 and 4, Serena. Simply too good right now for anybody else.

Vika will be lucky if it gets to 2 & 4; I'm going with 3 & 1, barring any run-ins with linespeople.

I don't see Serena losing this one but Vika might be able to keep it close, 6-4, 6-4

When Serena is this composed, she's the clear favorite. I won't be shocked it Vika finds a way to win, though. She seems to relish the competition. Never know.

Serena will not choke away two US Open finals in a row. She wins 63 63
