It'll definitely be interesting to see how Burdette does against Sharapova. I'd say she can probably make the first set a tight one, like she did against Bartoli, before fading in the second.

Todd Martin's commentating partner, Something Donaldson, has a Scottish brogue that is exactly 65% as delightful as a basket of kittens. He's funny too. He just tried to bet Todd an iced tea about the outcome of the match. I'm suspicious he was genetically engineered to be my best friend.

Friday women's matches are shaping up to be Ashe-tastic. Burdette-Sharapova, Li-Clijsters (presumably), and Lepchenko-Stosur (presumably) should all be on the center stage.

It may be the extreme lack of sleep that I'm experiencing right now but both of these things just sent me into an absolute fit of hysterical laughter. My roommate is giving me the look at this very moment like he's reconsidering our living arrangement. But still SO FUNNY!

I remember back in the day when Viktor was #12 in the world, and poised to enter the top 10.

Oh wait, that was just last summer.

Brian Baker with another win at a Slam. That's such a great story.

So Malisse cursed out chair ump Ramos and Dimitrov did a sit down demanding to see the tournament referee who did speak with him and agreed to change out the lines people.

Well thanks! My life plan is to become a full time stand up comedian as a second career around 40. I'll make sure to send you the fliers to my open mic.

He does that a lot. I find it very sad.

Apparently Malisse and Dimitrov were both correct in their outrage at line calls per the twitterati. Not watching Isner and Dimitrov isn't on a tv court.
