Ok. Who told Venus she was a popular SP pick today?

Did Petzschner get tired of losing matches at Slams when he was up 2 sets to love, and decided he would try and see how he does when he is down 2 sets to love?

I don't think I've actually seen Kerber play before somehow. I am now on the livestream. I actually like this match and she looks quite sharp and impressive.

Edit:
Okay, nevermind. Now this is more used to what I see when I flip to a random WTA match. Just those few points tricked me terribly.
It turned pretty ugly midway through the first set. 10 straight games for Kerber and I think Keathavong didn't even have a game or break point in any of them...

Did anyone else notice that the Harrison brothers won today taking out the #4 seeds.

I saw that - nice doubles win but the Poles seem to be struggling lately since they have moved into the top 4 doubles teams.

If you have time I suggest taking a look at Errani-Muguruza. I predict that Spanish girl will rise rapidly in the rankings very soon regardless of today's result.

What happened to Shahar Peer? At one point in her career, she seemed ready to take a run into the Top 10. And nowadays, her results tend to be mediocre-to-dismal.
Moose I am wondering the same thing
she is only 25. She was #11 last spring and now can't win the first round of a tournament
She never had a big serve. She always would win on good defensive play and an ability to return almost every shot
But it is like her game fell off the face of the earth after march 2011

I realize the conditions are kind of tough out there. But right now, Franny has 1 winner and 13 unforced, while Sloane is at 4 winners and 12 unforced. Major, MAJOR slopfest, and it's not yet 3-all.

I haven't seen Sloane play in a while...I'm very impressed with her ability to change speeds on her strokes...the changes seem to be dramatic. She also moves so well, which probably allows her to change speeds like she does.
