We'll have to meet up! I know you said nexr year...
I'd love that, Megan. I'd propbably want to do a few days at the beginning of the week, since that gives more options. Is that when you usually attend?

Azarenka's not entered, Serena can't seem to stand Cincy for more than a few days, so congratulations Aga.

Official.

Maria has pulled out of the Western & Southern Open in Cincinnati which begins on Monday due to a stomach virus. This is the second consecutive event Maria has had to withdraw from due to illness as she pulled out of Montreal this week.

Maria's next event will be the final Grand Slam of the year at the US Open in New York which begins on August 27th. http://www.mariasharapova.com/news/m...incinnati.aspx

So wait, is the fire hydrant partcipating in the US Open or the street?

Also, remind me to never put my mouth on a fire hydrant, because I don't want stitches in my knee.

France’s Jo-Wilfried Tsonga was involved in a traffic accident in Toronto that has forced him to pull out of next week's event in Cincinnati, the French journalist Eric Salliot reports. Tsonga received several stiches in his knee. The world No. 6’s participation at the US Open does not appear to be in doubt. http://www.tennis.com/articles/templ...9135&zoneid=25

I usually wait till finals weekend, but I could zip over there for a day early in the week. It's not that far, and I'd love to check out the early rounds one of these days.

Keep an eye out for the Maid. She always has that one big win every year that keeps her in the mix, and she's due.

There might be a mistake in the translation. Maybe what it means to say is that "he must observe a calm period of ten days according to Pierce Cheng".

@TennisReporters reporting that Sharapova is out. Nothing official yet though. Strictly rumor control at this point.
