Djokovic and Nadal played each other 7 times in both 2007 and 2009. Turns out the most Federer and Nadal ever played each other was 6 times, in 2006.

Anyone know what the record is for two Top 10 players meeting each other in the same season? Should Vika win the 2nd semi, she would face Aga for the 7th time this year in Saturday's final. And it is only July, so these two still could face each other a substantial number of times between now and the YEC.
Not sure if it the record Navratilova- Evert played each other 12 times in 1975

Lindsay didn't once mention anything about herself, which ex-players are wont to do.
The anti-Austin. When stuck, Tracy would use her name as a dangling participle, just to sneak it in.

I don't know that I've listened to a Vika match on radio before.

It's actually a bit funny.

...and with a mighty roar, the lioness takes down the injured gazelle. The gazelle will struggle for a time, but both creatures know what the end will be.

I keep thinking that Serena owes the rain a muffin basket. Playing three sets of doubles yesterday has helped a lot. Her groundstrokes seem to be about normal, but her serve and return are near perfection.

I'm so impressed with Azarenka's fight here. She's really showing that she earned her slam and #1 ranking.

Serena is showing a bit of worry. I'm thinking her nightmare is to lose a tight match like this. I'm curious to see how she handles it.
