OK, so Errani must have been kind of embarrassed, but I think the commentator should have been more so. He was giving all kinds of stats about Shvedova's doubles titles, how she qualified for the French and then made it to the quarterfinals, and how she was coming back from injuries but he never said anything about the amazing thing that was happening on court. During the changeover at 5-0 the screen flashed a stat which said
Shvedova's points won on serve 100%
Errani's points won on serve 0%
So even if he wasn't paying attention before, that stat tells you that Shvedova hadn't dropped a point and he still didn't notice. Then, during the 5-0 game, he said "Errani is having trouble just winning points." Kind of an understatement, huh? : )
The reason I wanted to watch this was for just this reason. I was curious about how much commentators really take in, and how much is fed to them by other people. I don't know about other commentators, but this guy really really dropped the ball (pun intended).

I wonder if either of the players knew what was happening.

Anyway, it was very cool to watch.

That commentator (Doug Adler I believe) was totally clueless as to what was going on. He only caught on after the set was over when someone in the booth finally whispered in his earpiece that a Golden Set had just taken place.

The first video is not working for me and since I don't have ESPN I'm really I'd really like to see the set in its entirety somewhere.

You don't have to have ESPN to see it. Just get on line and go to

http://www.espn.go.com/watchespn/

IN the search box, type in Wimbldeon and a bunch of archived matches will come up. Then just click on the Errani - Shvedova match. Enjoy

When I originally went to youtube to look for it, I got a lot of results, but people posted a still picture with the Golden Set title. It didn't work for you because there was nothing to see on that posting People post really weird things sometimes.

Default Shvedova's golden set on video anywhere?
HI all. I was amazed to hear about Shvedova's golden set today. I would love to see it on video (it only took 14 minutes, I think) but I haven't been able to find it anywhere. I looked on youtube and did a google search but I didn't find it. Does anyone know if it's available for viewing in the US? Is Tennis Channel going to show it? If anyone knows and can share the info, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks.
