Justin Gimelstob just referred to Tommy Haas' "baby mama." To his face. It was weird.

Yikes, Serena's footwork is pretty bad so far. She's sort of hopping around a lot and is struggling to get in position even for balls that are already coming very close to her racket. I'm somewhat confident she'll pick it up, but she never did in Melbourne against Makarova.

Oh, but I think that's the first successful drop shot I've seen Serena hit in about 5 years.

Gotta love it when your SP pick (Kirilenko)'s match is so quick, you don't realize it's on til it's over and they quickly flash to the court for the handshake.

Didn't see it mentioned anywhere here (unless I missed it), and since there doesn't appear to be a thread devoted to mixed/doubles...

who else noticed Serena and Bob Bryan are playing mixed dubs. Great pairing, but I'm curious if this could mean anything in terms of Roddick and the Olympics?

Oh Ree, that tiebreak was a hotmess. How do you lose it after being up 5-2?

Wow, Serena got jobbed. With Serena up 5-3 in the second set tiebreak, Razzano hit a short sitter that clipped a sideline, but Serena was there to put it away, but the linesman called it out. It was immediately overruled, but of course, they had to replay the point. Razzano won it, and the next three (admittedly, by Serena errors) to take the set.

Serena lost 12 points in a row there. Serena looks just terrible. No rhythm or movement.

Yeah I looked away at 4-0 and figured it was over when I came back and was at commercial.

Triple BP for Razzano now too...wow.

Doesn't look like she's even trying on some of the points...almost looks like she's defeated already.

This court is playing insanely slow right now.

This turned from being an OK match to hot mess fest in about 30 seconds!
