1. Petra Martic vs. Peng Shuai
I watched the majority of this match. Both players are completely infuriating. The number of shocking bad decisions can only be counted by the most advanced computers. Peng can't hold on to momentum if you super-glued it to her. A beautiful down the line winner is often quickly followed by a ball barely reaching the bottom of the net. Martic is totally convinced that she possesses a drop shot, but is sorely mistaken. When you're batting under .500 against one of the slowest players in the top 100, you need to give it up. Martic also thinks footwork is some kind of German beverage, choosing instead to plant her feet firmly as if she's preparing to Sumo Wrestle.

Martic takes it 6-4 in the third, and I am now sterile.

Okay, but did you enjoy the match?

Radwanska has defaulted her quarter-final match to Su-Wei Hsieh with an elbow injury. How many seeds in that half are regretting their early-round losses now (I'm talking to you, Anne Keothavong)?

Doesn't that apply to 99.999% of WTA players?

Yes, probably so...

Maybe I shouldn't have used the word classic...but its a great line that I'm sure I will use in the upcoming tournaments LOL

Garcia served for the match at 5-4 in the third set and battled her nerves enough to get to match point at 40-30. But she made a forehard error, got down a break point, and then hit a DF with the ball flying into the sideline stands off the top of her racquet before eventually losing the match in the TB. I'll be curious to see if she can build off this tough loss in a positive direction.
