I can't believe these are the semis.

I checked in with Zakopalova/Bartoli with Klara up 5-2 with something like a 10-3 Winners/Errors ratio. Bartoli won the match 7-6 6-0. WHAT HAPPENED!?

Vince was up 6-4 3-0 and ended up losing the second set 6-4. Then she was up 5-2 in the third before losing the match in a TB. Bartoli did a nice job of fighting back and she really took advantage of Vinci's second serve.

Ouch, Sharapova lost in straight sets to Kerber?

I'm wondering if the fast indoor court had anything to do with it. I imagine Kerber's lefty shots might have more potency. It would also highlight Sharapova's serving issues and movement.

I watched most of the match. Maria was up a break in both sets and Kerber actualy had more double faults. Kerber was 5 for 5 in break point opportunities and Maria was only 3 of 11. I thought Angelique played very aggressive from about the middle of the first set on and definitely deserved the win.
