Default Vika/Kim - WHO YA GOT?
1st of the womens' semifinals on tap at the Australian tomorrow. And the semi many people predicted when they saw the draw come out 2 weeks ago.

Career H2H is 4-2 favoring Kim. They have never met in a Slam. On hardcourts, 4-1 Clijsters. Azarenka won the last time the two played, in Miami in 2011 (in straights).

I predicted this semi and Vika winning it when we did predictions. Vika has looked great! But, Kim has made it past some tough roadblocks. Now that she is here, I think Kim takes this match and then the title.

I'm hoping this happens but I really think this is Vika's year. Time for her to step up, leave the tantrums behind and win a GS.

Actually maybe she can wait until next year.

I went with Kim in 3 - much as I'd like to see Vika step up and win, Kim has done a great job of battling through rough spots in her last 2 matches and I think she has another win in her.

I picked Kim in 3, because I think each of these players is going to have streaky patches, but Kim wins a 3 setter. I think if it is a two set match, Azarenka wins.

Regardless, I am mad crazy excited for both matches tonight. This is a great pair of semis, and I think all four ladies are playing outstanding tennis right now. The final three matches of this tournament have the potential to be near epic.

I agree. These are some great match-ups! Time for the women to shine.

If you just jinxed us into a Kuzzy-Chaks repeat, I'll have your head.

This women's draw has featured some of the best slam tennis I've seen in awhile, and while this should be a good match, I'm feeling Vika for the title this year.

How come we don't have a WYG Petra/Sharaboba thread? That one can be close, too.

It's here. No one has commented in a while, so it's buried.
