Funny how they replayed the incident in 2006 when Berdych told crowd to be quiet, yet they never mentioned the reason he did it. In fact, if you watch that match, and I clearly remember it, the crowd consistently cheered his mistakes. It was like Davis Cup atmosphere, which is unacceptable during normal match. That was the reason he made that signal. That, by no means justifies his gesture, but I just hate how they very often only mention part of the story.

I know I am taking Mary Carillo line here, but it is pretty ridiculous how with all this technology, players are forced to take their eyes off the ball and opponent to check out if the ball was out or not and they only have a split of a second for a decision. That's how Nadal lost first set. Weird and unfair end to an amazing set of tennis from both players.

The number of bad line calls in the first set was astonishing. And it all climaxed with a no-call on a Berdych out ball, thus tipping the set in his favor. |

I think the point should be replayed using challenge system after it ends, without players being aware. If they notice at any point the ball was not called properly, umpire should notify players and point should be awarded properly. |
