Wozniacki has a tough road to win her first slam. That top quarter/half is loaded!

Stosur/Bartoli?

How is Sam doing now? I don't recall hearing anything about her in a while.

Sam never plays well in Australia and sucked it up big time at both warm-up events so far. She admitted emotions got the best of her earlier this week when she lost to Franny so don't expect her to do much damage at the AO. I personally find her streakiness maddening.

Zvonareva will have to go through Dulgheru, Hradecka, Kanepi, and Serena just to get to the quarters. I don't think she could possibly have a harder draw.

I suppose it's possible she may luck out, though. Kanepi and Serena could both win the tournament or lose to a nobody.

I'm still on the fence with regards to Serena and what she will do here, but I think Kanepi is more appropriately associated with the lose to a nobody. It's a slam and although injured I don't think Serena will go down that easily, unless it's one of the TOP players.

I think Bepa will do okay as well in the early rounds, lots of players can't live up to the hype when it come to the slams, I think they do better when their names are not called to much prior, then you have the upsets. Pressure is a terrible thing.

Serena certainly won't go down easily. I only consider her a question mark because I was watching the match when she jammed her knee and twisted her ankle. I think she's the kind of player who could limp through a win or two before being forced to withdraw. Also, I think Zahlovova Strycova and Cibulkova are terrible opponents to have when your movement isn't up to par.

As much as I love Kaia, I have watched her game for far too long to assume that she's a lock for a R16 match-up with Serena. She's got a top 8 seed in her way first (granted it is Bepa but still) plus some dangerous floaters in her section too.

That being said, I really hope she makes it and takes out Serena once she does.
The Aussie is the only Slam that Kaia has not reached the 1/4s. Which is a little funny, because you would think with that big serve and those huge groundies she would perform better here than the French.

I think Bepa's in the kind of a funk that will lend itself to not lasting long here. Which probably means she'll knock out everyone in her half of the draw.

Some of the first rounds are insane!

I really hope I can watch Razzano v. Bartoli for the drama.

On the bottom half, I am very excited for a Serena/Kanepi R16.

Last year's final is a potential R16 match this go round. Somebody's losing a whole lot of ranking points.

Also, you can have a Wozniacki/Li AO SF rematch in QF.

This draw is much more righteous, especially the 1st and 3rd quarters. I'm excited to see how this will play out.
