Stosur was scheduled for Ashe, but that was the match with Kirilenko that was moved to Grandstand.The second women's semi won't start till 8 pm (even though schedule says 7 pm), so at least they might get a full stadium if it stops raining
Yup but even then it was not fair

They should have offered Stosur/Kerber the option of playing after Ree/Caro. If both agreed it was ok to play so late, that's how it should have been scheduled. If they disagreed then the USTA should have made the call as to where and at what time they would play.

If the mens's doubles needed to be played on Ashe, that could have taken place after Kerber/Stosur. After all it is Saturday night, a lot of tennis fans would have stuck around.

Or move after the women final on Sunday.

I know many here will be happy to have seen and heard the last of Dick Enberg, but certainly not me.

The tributes from the players said it all. "We love you" from Pete Sampras. "Can you please just stay to do MY matches?" from Serena. (I'm tearing up again, as I did when I watched the original tributes, just typing that.) They all could hear how much he loved the game. And that great voice. Oh my, Dick, you'll be greatly missed.

I was struck by what he said after the tribute. Something like, "I'd be thrilled if you have me back."

Was he forced out by CBS?

::

This match "feels" like a final.

It looks like he is being forced out. According to his wiki page, he had hoped to call NFL games late in the 2010 season but he was "omitted" from the announcing roster. That's a chop. And now this? Fishy.

Since when the hell is Roger a native New Yorker? I know everybody loves him, but the crowd is terribly so pro-Roger today.

Except for the Serbian fans, the crowd was pro Dolgopolov during that match also.

They're used to him because he's played so well here, and Novak is the giant favorite. Plus Federer has a whole "Wounded Old Lion" thing going on now that he's #3 and hasn't won a slam in a while.
