AND WE'RE OFF!!!!!!!!! Roddick just held easily for 4-1 over Ferrer.

There is almost nobody watching them. I see maybe 50 people.

Given the 4 matches going on at the same time, I wonder which ESPN willl choose to give the most coverage.

now Roddick-Ferrer stopped because of some sort of issue with the court just behind one baseline. Not clear if it was wet, or a bubble/dead spot (remember the AO?), or what.

Roddick stopped play on his court - water coming up from below the court.

Water is seeping up through the court. Some of it must have soaked in like a sponge. Roddick used a towel on a few spots in between points before finally stopping play to get the ump. I'm not sure what they can do to fix it.
...
I switched to Murray-Young for a second and for a second I wondered if it was accidentally a stream of a juniors match. They are majorly slow-balling it. I kind of can't believe it. Murray just broke for 3-2 and Donald smashed his racket. He keeps flinging and dropping things on the changeover. Nice new found good attitude, Donald.

both players left the court.

Bubbling up from below. You can see a crack starting to form.

Did Murray break to love? Looks like he's in a hurry! Wonder why...

I'm guessing Roddick is no longer happy to see Armstrong again after all these years! Can it be fixed, or are they going to be moved to another court?
