OK, I LOL'ed at Carillo's comment on Tracy Austin's story about Vika's attitude turnaround this year, after talking with her mother and grandmother about how hard life on the tour is.

"Granny said 'honey, you gotta be kidding me.' ... In Belorussian she said that."

Anybody know whether Marino is injured or something - thought she was going to have a good summer but has only won one match since Wimbledon - really disappointing.

WTH is going on with Potito Starace? He's all but won a hard court match. AGAIN!

And Berrer played a bunch of hard court tune-ups.

It's a world gone mad. Famine. Earthquakes. Hurricanes. Starace becoming good for a round or two in hardcourt suicide pools. What's next? Boris Pashanski becoming Al Sharpton's rentboy?

They are showing Schiavone and Voskoboeva on TV. Franny's grunts, although not as obnoxious as others, sound like a chicken being strangled in mid cackle.

i watched her play in Cincy; her shriek is different when she serves than when she hits a groundstroke
The shriek she gives out on serving would be considered obscene if it weren't in Italian

My favorite is Wickmayer, who sounds like she's saying, "Whoopee!" every time she hits the ball.

LOL. I love Vika's familia. Her mom told her if she quit tennis she'd "kick her ass" because Vika's too ADD for university.

Her man has been promoted from bagboy to scrub as he's not only qualified and won his first round!

If anyone has ever played Super Mario 64, the similarity between her grunt and Mario's exclamation when he jumps is uncanny and hilarious.
