I like Serena's chances based on her form, but if she wins this thing, she'll have earned it. I think that's the hardest section of the draw.

Venus-Sabine could be interesting.

Maria should make the final if she doesn't have to play Kvitova.

I say the bottom half of the draw comes down to the winner of the Masha/Radwanska the Greater 1/4. And I would be absolutely delighted if Agnieszka can beat Maria in NY again.

The top 1/4 is one big question mark, given everyone's current form. Leaning toward Petko.

But it's Serena's Slam to lose.

What about that tear in her right knee?

I hear they have good trainers on staff.

Seriously, how do you make a pick from that 1/4? Woz is in the tank at the moment. Li went 1-2 on hardcourts (2-2 if you count a walkover), but both losses were to Stosur. Jarka's a mess, and so is Sveta. Kanepi hasn't played since Wimbledon, and hasn't won a match since the French.

Maybe Dani?

Maybe the hurricane will blow Vika into a streetlamp before I have to watch her lose miserably to Serena again. Seriously, I want to sick rabid ferrets on someone because of this draw.

Grass Fairy Tammy T is clearly the favorite in that section, those losses to Craybas and Sevastova were clearly just meant to remove all the pressure

Or Nuria Llagostera Vives, brimming with confidence after fulfilling her lifelong dream and finally shooting the Playboy centerfold she talked about for years, storms her way through the draw to her first Slam final.

I was going to make a joke about Cornet but even I thought that would be pushing it just too far

And she still managed to find a way to lose, plus Goerges lost to Baltacha who I don't think is legally allowed to win a match outside of the grass court season. All of this of course means that this is Chanelle Scheepers' championship to lose.

You have her getting past Anne "Let me see that vong, that vong-va-vong-vong-vong" Keothavong? Bold choice!

Everyone is writing off the defending champ. I think Miles has a good chance to defend.

This. Clearly Miles has this in the bag. I mean, his summer was a bit of a mixed bag, winning some, losing some, but I think he's the clear favourite here.

Serena ain't got sh** on Miles.

It'll totally be a Miles vs. Scheepers final.

Y'all are hilarious and unlike most of the WTA, I have been practicing/improving my serve this summer so I see no problem in taking out Sharapova in the semi. Yes, I will scream a "C'mon" whenever she double faults.

Me and Ree in the final? Alves better be in the chair and Ito better be calling the lines because this match-up will be epic, as every screaming winner will be followed by a hotmess error, leading up to a third set TB that I will take 21-19.

:fistpump:

BTW, since TAT is my apparel sponsor, Kirkus better come up with some fresh threads for me to sport during the trophy presentation.
