I'm impressed that Odesnik is already seeded at a qualifying draw (19th). A tennis writer questioned if he might be in the running for Comeback Player Of The Year, but that may have been a joke. Still, it's pretty big to go from unranked to 150ish in less than a year.

I'm hoping Smyczek comes out of that section. We got to see Smyczek play Kohli at Indian Wells, and it was a well played match. I've been trying to follow his results closely ever since. Seems he can get close, but can't win the bigger matches, but I'd like to see him get to the main draw.

The kind of day where the only American to get through will be Odesnik.

So far, Kudla and someone named Mitchell Frank have made it through. Everyone else on both sides has lost. Alexa Glatch lost 11 of her last 12 games.
