A tough loss for Stephanie Dubois tonight. She loses 75 46 67(2) to Tamira Paszke in 3:42. This a day after playing 2:40 to defeat Heather Watson. And apparently it's hot and muggy in Washington.

She's had some good result the last three months. She won two ITF events (clay in Charlottesville, hard court in Granby) and reached the semis at another (on grass in Nottingham). She almost qualified for the French Open (won the first set of final Q match 61, then lost a tie-breaker in the second and a lop-sided third set). She made into Wimbledon as a lucky loser, won her first round match and then took 11th seed Andrea Petkovic to three sets. Also, defeated Sania Mirza in the first round here.

It's a very pleasant surprise Nadia won this match. I did not expect her to.

Did Tennis Channel just kind of abandon the Paszek-Peer match midway for the men's semis from LA?

They did. I thought at least Justin would have argued sticking with the Paszeks.

Yes. LA was scheduled to start at 5 PM so I guess they stuck with schedule. I am watching the match via stream with Tennis Channel commentators, Adams and Thaler.

I was going to say they should have stuck with the ladies, then switched over to live in LA, but I guess there'd be a chance they would have missed the match - since they're done with the first set already
