Unless Spears win the next 5 games, Fujiwara will make the main draw and cause Dry to have a few drinks.
As if my Monday wasn't bad enough!

And she had the nerve to post on Facebook after her win. No shame.

And what to say about the reaction from the people at Baku

(actual caption on Yahoo)
2011-07-18 Azerbaijan, flush with gas dollars and keen to boost its image, on Monday joined the club of former Soviet republics holding top tennis tournaments as the first ever WTA Baku Cup started in the capital.

Pretty surprised by the URad win. I thought Ajla would win easily...I guess URad is on the way up.

The advantage of the top 10 exemption is that she can use it for the rest of the year and save the 7" protect ranking" for next year.
Isn't there a limit on how long PAST the comeback players are allowed to use protective ranking. I thought it was only valid for something like 6 months?

Radwanska the Lesser is a fairly decent hardcourt player - 2009, she got to the R16 at IW, and the 1/4s at Los Angeles, with some good wins to get that far in both events (beat Sveta at IW, beat Domi and Na Li at LA). She spent most of 2010 injured, so I am hoping what we are seeing from her could be a return to some good results.
