So many people wanted Rafa-Fed. Cruel irony that Fed makes the final for six straight years but Rafa couldn't do it. Now Nadal makes it and Fed just misses.

I'd like to hope this could still be a good contest, but I think this will be a fairly anti-climatic straight sets win by Nadal. He is simply the best player right now, and will be more rested than Novak.

I don't think rest is going to have much to do with it tomorrow. Novak is in the finals with a chance at personal glory, to receive a 2nd slam....he still has a lot to prove in the tennis world since he boasted about becoming number one and it still hasn't happened yet.

The fact is....Rafa is playing at a level that Nole can't touch. If Nole plays today the way he did in the first four sets....he's out in three. Rafa will trounce him soundly. Novak's win was aided by a bunch of HUGE giveaways by Roger who was uncharacteristically generous with his opponent today....Novak better not expect those giveaways from Rafa cuz they ain't happening. Novak did not start playing that brillant bunch of tennis until the middle of the set in the 5th....Rafa won't wait for him to warm up that long so if he wants any chance at all...he better be brillant from the get -go when they step out on the court.

Even so....I say Rafael Nadal in three. Welcome to the small small club of career grand slammers!

I'll be rooting for Nadal. I appreciate history-making opportunities. But if Nole can pull it off and find a way to win the French, I'll be pulling for him at Wimbledon. Or visa versa.

In any case, I go with Nadal in 4.

Hidden factor, perhaps, is that Novak and Rafa are friends, and maybe Novak won't be able to summon the kind of fire he had today. I think he has more respect for Rafa than Roger, too. Deep down, he may not feel worthy of winning tomorrow.

Or you know, he could forget how to play tennis tomorrow like Vera did today.

Poor Vera. I really like her. She didn't seem to have a game plan, and Kim just didn't miss.

So, in my attempts to lessen the sting of this afternoon's results, I've been telling myself that had Roger won today, it would only have served to promote Rafa's legacy tomorrow.

Nadal was always going to win this.

I hear ya. I've adjusted to Roger losing Slams, but not losing them to Nadal.

Mr Perfect 4 sets max. Even if Fed had won today it would have been the same prediction.

If his match today had been shorter, I might have given Nole a good shot because we are on hard courts. But, I just don't see it now. I think Nole will take the first set however. Rafa in four.

I think Novak is hungry as all get out. I took Nadal in 5 sets, but I wouldn't be at all surprised if it's Nole in 5 sets.

Kimmy won, so I'm happy.

Although I'll be rooting for Nadal.
